A little bit about me...
I'm a mum to two boys, wife to one husband, maintainer of one house and founder of two business, life is busy and I need fitness in it to keep my mental health and wellbeing on track.
During my first pregnancy back in 2017, I was unable to run, and although I did Pilates and Swimming, really struggled to find any support for fitness during pregnancy and what was safe.
We moved soon after my first sons birth and I joined a postnatal fitness class which I loved, it felt so good to do something for me.
I discovered 5 months postpartum that I had a minor prolapse and was unable to run without leaking, and after much work and the support of a women's health physiotherapist I got back to a slow 5k.
In 2019 I became pregnant and again was unable to run, this time I had learnt a bit more about what was safe, but could find no support for pre or postnatal fitness (especially something that fitted into my busy life of work and a toddler).
A long story short, baby boy no.2 arrived, as did Covid, redundancy and a good long think about what I wanted to do with my life to help support my family. I took the leap and trained in fitness instructing, person training, specialising in pre and postnatal and running, and there is still a long list of training I wish to complete, as I realised I just wanted to help and support those women who want to keep themselves fit and health during pregnancy, postnatally and beyond.

    Its so nice to have a mum fitness class where you can bring your little one, plus the class is always adapted if the littles ones are a bit grizzly. Babies always come first so if you need to stop and feed/change etc that is fine. I really enjoy Katie’s sessions, she is really lovely but also very knowledgeable. Katie is extremely knowledgeable not only about fitness and training but also about women's health in general. And she really goes the extra mile with all of the super useful (and refreshingly honest) online content! She is also incredibly kind and lovely, easy to chat to, and always makes you feel welcome! As you would hope for from a postnatal fitness instructor, she understands that attending a class with a baby in tow doesn't always work out perfectly, and is happy to fit the class around everyone's little ones.     I absolutely love the online class Katie does, it targets all the areas I'm looking to tone up in a safe way after having my second baby. Even after my first session I felt great and gave me the boost I needed to get back into exercise after having my baby. Katie is absolutely brilliant she's so lovely and friendly and puts you at ease as soon as you meet her and is so knowledgeable about pre and post natal exercise. I wish I lived closer so I could go to her outdoor group classes!

    I have been going to mumfit group classes with my nearly 2yr old. I was worried about trying to exercise, with having to watch her outside but I need not. I gave her toys and snacks and she has been happy exploring closeby and never tried to run off. Sometimes she even joins in with the band workouts or jumps on me when I'm laying down. I have even brought along my 6yr old and again Katie was super accommodating and supportive. For me this class is building up my core strength so that I can start running without pain, and not just for freshly postnatal Mums, all movements can be adapted to suit. Maybe you don't have childcare like me and no other option but to workout with little one in toe. If so I would say give it a go!

    Working with Katie over the last year has been amazing! I joined at a time when I really need a boost in motivation and confidence and our PT sessions offered just that. Katie planned workouts that were adapted to my specific needs and were both challenging and realistic. Her careful monitoring and real skill at shaping sessions to how I felt on any specific day was amazing and I always felt completely comfortable and at ease. Working with Katie felt like we were collaborating to improve my strength and fitness and I managed to improve or build skills I didn't think I would be able to. Katie is warm and reassuring and it was a pleasure to work with her.

    I contacted Katie when my little one was 5 months old as I wanted to get back into some exercise but was too nervous to join a group setting. Following a c section I was uncertain what exercises would be best for me. Katie instantly put me at ease with her friendly nature and great expertise in post natal fitness. Katie listened to what I wanted to achieve during sessions and together came up with some goals. As new mum, finding time for yourself is hard but this was so much easier with the option and facilities to take my little one along while I did the work out. If they became to upset or bored Katie was on hand while I finished. Katie modified my workouts around a shoulder injury which I was great and able to tweak moves so that I was able to achieve them. Katie was also able to adapt the session at short notice when arriving sleep deprived! Katie helped me with my motivation and confidence in returning to fitness and was such a shame to finish due to going back to work! Would definitely recommend!

    I am really enjoying Katie's Online sessions and am already starting to feel a difference, to keep it going I have also started swimming once or twice a week. Despite not enjoying getting up so early (especially when sleep is something we don’t get much of) I have really started to feel more energetic and brighter so thank you. I also enjoy the fact that I know I ‘have’ to get up for it as opposed to if I was going to the gym or doing home videos at home. Katie is very clear, supportive and helpful too which is great.

    I've never done anything like this before and admit I was nervous at first. However, I was instantly put at ease and gently encouraged by Katie. She explains things so incredibly well, gives pointers during the exercises and motivates in a really calm, positive way. I like the variety and repetition, I feel like I’m working hard and achieving a lot in the session. It’s a really lovely welcoming session and it doesn’t matter if your little ones decide to join you!! I do wish I lived closer for in person sessions but I feel incredibly supported from a distance with these online workouts. A great start to the day!

    I’m 6 months in to my postnatal PT with Katie. Prior to my degree and becoming pregnant, I believed I was fit, being involved in sport and years of horse riding. After having my girl I was determined to get back to my healthiest self knowing that maternity leave would be the perfect time. I was, and am still impressed at Katie’s knowledge & professionalism. She really tailors sessions to your strengths and weaknesses and always works according to where I am in my recovery. I really believe that I am the strongest I’ve ever felt, accomplishing things I don’t think I would’ve been able to do at my ‘fittest’ previously. I plan to remain with Katie as I really enjoy her sessions and that one hour a week for myself (even with baby attending!) as I hope to expand my family and therefore will absolutely want her guidance again during pregnancy and post natal.     I would definitely recommend Katie. I have been doing her boot camp classes for nearly a year now. At first I was very apprehensive; exercise had always been something done alone behind closed doors - Katie was so welcoming and I've never looked back. Katie will tailor classes to all your individual needs and never makes you feel uncomfortable, instead she is so aupportive. I have since started her online morning classes which are such a great addition to add to my fitness and get me moving another 2 days a week. I couldn't recommend Katie more she is so knowledgeable and so informative while being so supportive.
